ETHNOGRAPHIC ENCOUNTER: CATERED DINING IN A LONDON TECH COMPANY

Completed ethnographic research with the University of London, SOAS, gaining access to a global American tech company’s dining spaces. Interviewing senior management on the company’s management policies on their benefits schemes.

AUTOETHNOGRAPHIES OF CUNY: THE POWER OF STORYTELLING WORKSHOP

Completed an 8-week workshop on a memoir on Chinese food culture and my personal history with my identity. In fall 2017, the workshop was led by novelist and poet Bushra Rehman at the Asian American Writers Workshop as part of the Autoethnographies of Public Education and Racial (In)Justice research group. 

September 2014 - September 2015

NEW YORK STATE AND U.S. FEDERAL POLICIES ON HYDRAULIC FRACTURING

Completed capstone thesis on New York State and U.S. Federal Policies on Hydraulic Fracturing with Macaulay Honors College, utilizing new historical research on U.S. mining law. Presented thesis at Macaulay Honors College Research Day in 2015. 

June 2012 - August 2012

MARCELLUS SHALE HYDRAULIC FRACTURING
A CASE STUDY: NATURAL GAS DRILLING WITHIN NEW YORK STATE

Worked with the Center for Environmental Research and Conservation at the Earth Institute at Columbia University to revise the case study on hydraulic fracturing policy in New York State.

Alison Wong is a writer, videographer and photographer. She is a graduate of University of London, SOAS with an M.A. in Anthropology of Food and of Macaulay Honors College at Lehman with a B.S. in Environmental Science and Political Science.


Upon graduating, she has worked in London-based organization, Stories on Our Plate and, New York's Lehman Studios. She resides in London.
