Survey Creation/Analysis on Compensation Packages for Trademark Administrators

Intro

The client’s goal was to further their understanding of factors that contributed to salary and compensation discrepancies between trademark administrators (TMAs).

Challenge

The primary issue was that the company was not effectively differentiating its product in a highly competitive market.

This problem was significant because it caused variance in salary and compensation, requiring research into factors such as role types, experience levels, education, gender, job responsibilities, and location.

These factors significantly influence TMA salary and compensation levels; however, the complex and intersecting nature of these factors also makes it hard to advocate for fair compensation.

Action Steps

Working alongside the client, we designed and distributed a survey to collect meaningful data to identify the most relevant factors impacting TMA salary and compensation.

Following the collection of 270 responses, we categorized the data and developed a report – “Benchmarking Trademark Administrators’ Salaries.” The report provides the most comprehensive analysis of TMA compensation and benefits.

Results

This initiative aims to empower TMAs with data they can use to advocate for fair compensation and professional growth.

The final report is not only comprehensive but also highly accessible as it combines qualitative and quantitative data into an easily understandable format, enhanced using data visualization tools and mapping.

The findings have already had an impact: preliminary data from the survey helped one respondent negotiate a 30% salary increase. See Report Here
